Patricia Bottero is the visionary behind Happy Pet List, a community-driven platform created to connect pet parents with professionals they can genuinely trust.

The idea grew from her own life as a pet owner and lifelong animal lover. Over time, Patricia noticed the same kinds of conversations coming up again and again. Friends and fellow pet parents were facing important, often emotional decisions. Some were trying to adopt and wanted to be sure they were working with ethical rescue organizations. Others were searching for breeders who truly prioritized animal health and care. Many struggled to find veterinarians who took the time to listen and explain things clearly.

Some conversations were even harder. How do you plan for your pet's future if something happens to you? Who can you trust for compassionate end-of-life care? Where do you turn when a pet goes missing or needs specialized support?

At the same time, Patricia kept meeting pet professionals who were doing this work with deep care and integrity. Vets, trainers, groomers, rescue groups, and specialists who showed up every day for animals, yet were often buried in generic online listings and hard to distinguish from less thoughtful options.

Patricia is also the founder of OPEN for BUSINESS lab, her long-standing coaching business where she helps small business owners build purpose-driven and profitable companies rooted in their values, and long-term sustainability. Through that work, she has learned to recognize meaningful problems that quietly affect people's lives. As this same challenge continued to surface in her own world as a pet parent, she realized it was more than a personal frustration. It was a shared gap worth solving.

That realization became Happy Pet List, a trusted community for pet parents to make confident choices for their animals, while giving dedicated professionals the recognition and visibility they have earned through quality, caring work.
